Actually, that's not exactly the same, because firefox update system
1. installs upstream new firefox release, which is not binary compatible
   with debian's, doesn't run on all debian supported architectures, and so
   on. C++ binarys are not java jars.
2. there is no other choice than upgrading files in /usr, which is pure
   evil.
