Hi,

The section about X fonts probably needs some more updates for the new 
X11R7. After reading bug#362820 I think the following changes are probably 
required:

|  11.8.5 Packages providing fonts
|   9. fonts.alias and fonts.scale files, if needed, should be provided in the
|      directory /etc/X11/fonts/fontdir/package.extension, where fontdir is the

The directory seems to be changed. Current X11 packages (e.g. xfonts-base) install
their fonts into /etc/X11/fonts/X11R7/fontdir/package.extension

|    10.  Font packages must declare a dependency on xutils (>> 4.0.3) in

xfonts-utils is the new package name.

The update-fonts-{scale,alias,dir} commands may need to be called with 
the --x11r7-layout flag to let the command know the new font directory
structure is used.
