Well, in the form I proposed it, it would have been for both MDA
and MUA, but $MAIL does only make sense for MUAs. OTOH I can't
imagine that there are any MUA out there which don't look at
$MAIL.

This proposal was the product of beginning delirium (I'm still
curing that flu), feel free to ignore it.
