I'm going to wait to see the reaction to this, however I wanted to say that I fully agree with you. Debian at large is suffering from a "too many chiefs and not enough indians" syndrome. Everything, EVERYTHING seems to need the approval of everyone. If it doesn't, they want a vote. If the vote happens the way they don't like, we need another vote. There was even a small group of people who wanted a FOURTH LOGO VOTE! IMO after 3 votes, we'd had enough and made our decision (and I am happy with that decision actually) Debian needs some people in charge of various things. It should not be one person, else that one person would be burned out quickly because of flames from people who don't like the decisions. Still, this bureaucracy we're creating is going to kill us in time. I'll write a nice reply to individual points when I'm able to think coherently or in response to other comments made or something. Oh, and thanks for the nifty new sig! =D -- Joseph Carter <knghtbrd@debian.org> Debian GNU/Linux developer GnuPG: 2048g/3F9C2A43 - 20F6 2261 F185 7A3E 79FC 44F9 8FF7 D7A3 DCF9 DAB3 PGP 2.6: 2048R/50BDA0ED - E8 D6 84 81 E3 A8 BB 77 8E E2 29 96 C9 44 5F BE -------------------------------------------------------------------------- <hop> kb: I demand integrity and honesty in those who i do business with <hop> i know my demands are unreasonable, but a guy can dream, can't he?
