Hi,
I've had success syncing my Visor Prism with 2.4.9 kernel on /dev/ttyUSB1 with 
visor.o module. I had some problems 
with USB working on 2.2.19 kernel. I also had problems when I loaded the wrong 
uhci module. If you have enabled usbdevfs, you should be able to sees entries 
when you "cat /proc/bus/usb/devices" for the Visor after you press the hot-sync button.
