for the really lazy like myself, hoping that debian-pilot will be a
little more organized once I get some Debian 2.0 CDs, I got
pilot-link 0.8.9 compiled on debian 1.3.1r6 without too much trouble.
This has a pilot-xfer program which supports backup/restore, then I
added this -
{{{*.prc} {*.PRC} {*.pdb} {*.PDB}} {
{{pilot-xfer} {dsk_exec r-pilot-install %s}}
}}
- to tkdesk's TkDesk/Configuration/Popups menu entry (file) with
this script on my path :
jam:~> cat /usr/local/bin/r-pilot-install
#!/usr/bin/tcsh
setenv PILOTRATE 57600
pilot-xfer /dev/cua0 -i $1
jam:~>
Nothing very complex, but I wanted some sort of GUI thing to talk
with the pilot on my desktop (!!) and be able to install the pilot
software I had collected in the weeks before my pilot arrived.
Works great, though .pdb also refers to `Brookhaven protein structure
database' for some of us.....
