Upstream has provided his own patch to perl (called stableperl) but
that isn't something we can reasonably apply in Debian. I think it's
fair to stay that there is a bit of an impasse here but I'm not going
to attempt to paraphrase the history - asking google about
"coro perl stableperl" provides quite a few relevant references.

Suffice it to say that I think the chances of this being fixed in Debian
when it is not fixed with official Coro + perl releases are vanishingly
small.
