Recommendation for mixed environment?

Hi again,

so as you might know many people in the "Perl community"
recommend to leave alone the system perl and brew your own perl with
your own modules. Either getting the latest and breakest from CPAN, or
controlling the version by Carton, by Pinto, or maybe by some other
tool.

This is one end of the spectrum. The other end is when
you use only tools that are supplied by Debian.

Unfortunately there are always modules that are not yet available
in the version of Debian I run, or that the modules are not new enough
in Debian.
That's when you need some mixed solution. Some perl modules from
Debian and some from CPAN.

What would be your recommendation for such situation?

regards
