Great. I have a working rakudo package (from upstream version 2010.10), if
you haven't done anything yet, it may ba a start (there's still #610994 to
be fixed to get it fully lintian clean though).

AFAIK a DD is needed (or, at least, suggested) to have a project accpted on 
alioth [0]. Do we have anyone who act as referee for us?
