Hi,
That package is currently in NEW, but is not needed at the moment
because JSON includes a backportPP module that it will fall back to if
libjson-pp-perl/libjson-xs-perl is not available. It is OK to skip it;
if anything, it may be worthwhile for you to install libjson-xs-perl
to get the performance benefit.
