Er, why would a workaround be necessary?
The proper fix is a one-line patch; the packages that fail to build due
to this bug will continue to work, but of course will have an RC bug on
I fail to see why a workaround would be either useful or desirable.
The biometric identification system at the gates of the CIA headquarters
works because there's a guard with a large gun making sure no one is
trying to fool the system.
