This seems like qareport problem (or misunderstanding on my part).
I've taken a deeper look, and I have some more notes :)
debian/copyright:
* there are no copyright statements
although copyright is implicit, upstream source provides copyright
statements so it would be better to list them in debian/copyright
(with years)
It would be nice (although not mandatory) if you convert the file to
the proposed machine-readable format[1]
