You said on IRC that listing branches/ gives the expected results. I don't see a reason for branches/upstream listing not to come out, but searching around this oddity may give some clues.
Sure, anything that helps. I have been reading the source for svn- inject and SDcommon.pm (even submitted a patch to a bug!) but I cannot see what the problem is yet.
