A downgrade seems like the simplest solution.  I'm only
using the Average function, so additional features and
performance improvements from newer releases are unlikely
to affect me.  (I know, I'm lazy, this was the first thing
I found that would average the values in an array).

If the presence of numbercruncher affects others who use
BigInt, that would be unfortunate.  If it only overrides
perl defaults for scripts that use NumberCruncher, I don't
see the harm.  My technical skills aren't here, though,
so don't take me seriously.
