This part of the policy appears optimised for the situation where both the intern and the mentor are currently or are intending to be ongoing Debian contributors; having their contact details on one page means less places to update when those details change. This is the way things are done on the Debian wiki for contributors who haven't come to Debian through the outreach programs. > Please also suggest points that you want to remove or add. The existing policies all look reasonable to me. I would also like to see some sort of final announcement from the intern and or mentor to the audience for the work about the impact of their changes on that audience and perhaps directly to the wider Debian community, when that is appropriate. These could be summarised in a bits.debian.org post once the outreach program season has concluded. This is an increase in the amount of work to do, but it does help the intern communicate the value of their work to their audience, which means the audience are more likely to know about their work and therefore use it where they might not have done that otherwise. Perhaps this could be come an optional policy to start with and tested for the current or next round of internships. For example: Work on ci.debian.net that impacts the work of Debian package maintainers who are often adding testing to their packages could be announced by a standalone d-d-a post mentioning work done by both the intern and other contributors. Or if the work was mostly internal with a few maintainer-visible feature additions, the latter could be announced to the package maintainers via a paragraph in DevNews. https://wiki.debian.org/DeveloperNews Work on the Debian Med blend could be communicated to users of Debian Med, via the existing mailing lists, or via medical conference papers or posters or similar as appropriate. -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
