I'm completely with Alex on this: Github won't be a central requirement
for this team.

If individual mentors and interns use it as part of their workflow that
is their choice but nobody else is expected to use it either.

However, I'm interested to hear the views people have on requirements. 
Maybe the feedback on this thread can also help us improve the wiki for
new mentors and interns, so we can introduce them to Debian tools that
they may not even be aware of and log feature requests for things we
would like in future.
