Hello,

Well the path exists on Debian, so IMHO it should work. But it's
not that important, I'll tell them to fix their PATH.

readlink -f "$0" results in /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice
which should be the right result. And it works for /usr/bin/ and
/usr/bin/X11.
