Good. So it's NOT this bug after all but #798591. That one is
for the ::guestureLongPress and it will be fixed in 5.0.2
_This one_ is about the clipboard-related crash.
And that patch already *was* backported with
* debian/patches/795131.diff: backport fix for crashes with clipboard managers
in gtk3 backend from master (closes: #795131)
in 1:5.0.1-1.
