Package: libreoffice
Version: 1:3.5.4+dfsg-4
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I have macros written in Python for LibreOffice calc.
I cannot run them from the Debian Wheezy build of 3.5.4 but
I can from the Document Foundation build
when installed under Debian Wheezy.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

>From the main menu in calc, select
Tools -> Macros -> Organise Macros

The Debian build offers only LibreOffice Basic.
The DF build offers this and Python, BeanShell and JavaScript.

I place my Python macros in
  .config/libreoffice/3/user/Scripts/python/

To run one of them, from the main menu I select
Tools -> Macros -> Run Macro

Up pops a Macro Selector window, I click on the caret next to My Macros ...

   * What was the outcome of this action?

.... (Debian build) the macros I placed in the Scripts/python directory are
not listed so I cannot select any making it a tad difficult to run them

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

.... (DF build) the macros I placed in the Scripts/python directory are
listed, I can select them and so run them. Ta da !

Note: I can use pyuno to manipulate the contents of calc workbooks from
Python scripts run externally. I can also use my add-in functions implemented
in Python. It seems Python is good but nacors are bad.

So that probably just means that you didn't install the packages needed
for this:

- python-uno
- libreoffice-script-provider-python

libreoffice-script-provider-bsh

libreoffice-script-provider-js

Aha. So you have python-uno installed? What about
libreoffice-script-provider-python

I believe this is a non-bug. Reopen this if it still doesn't work
after installing the above packages.

Rene
