Package: libreoffice Version: 1:3.3.1-1 Severity: important Ever since I migrated to libreoffice, exported PDFs are no longer readable in Acrobat Reader (Windows as well as Linux (version 9.4.2-0.0 from debian-multimedia)). I can read the PDF just fine using e.g. okular, and evince also. This seems to be related to my use of a proprietary font, RotisSemiSerif and RotisSansSerif. The reader displays an error message upon start: Cannot extract the embedded font 'RotisSemiSerif-Bold'. Some characters may not display or print correctly. Even if I chose to export PDF/A-1a, the fonts will not be properly embedded. Yet, the help pages say: "Converts to the PDF/A-1a format. This is defined as an electronic document file format for long term preservation. All fonts that were used in the source document will be embedded into the generated PDF file. PDF tags will be written." Attached is a sample file as standard export, as well as PDF/A-1a. This could of course be a bug in acrobat, but the problem has been reported to me by many people and I doubt they all upgraded their acrobats at once.
