And why shouldn't a big document with many images not take long to save?

I don't think a comparison 2.4.x -> 3.2.x is fair, really.
*If* you find this annoying, why are you sending this here increasing
the bug list until infiinity instead fo directly talking with upstream
where this would get attention?
(I can just forward it wwith cut'n'paste, that won't be as much as efficient)
