Your call, but this is *very* annoying. From your comment later, it

No, it does *not* vanish when I do something in the other application.
I meant to explain that the only way to get rid of it is by returning
to OO, moving the cursor to get rid of the tool tip, and then returning
to the other application. Otherwise, it remains over the window of the
second application indefinitely.
