You should not assume that everybody is already familiar with
OpenOffice.org (or even office automation suite) terminology.
Especially, you should not assume that people reading package
descriptions (in order to decide whether they want to install a given
package) are already familiar with the package parlance or that of
related packages.

Personally, I do not use OpenOffice.org very often (I use LaTeX much
more); hence, I am not overly used to its jargon...

Then, I think the package description should at least mention that the
extension is meant for importing PDF documents into Draw (rather than
into OpenOffice.org, which is too vague).

I've already tried this way.

Apart from being an overly complicated and slow method (try to do that
with tens of PDF files...), the problem is that it does *not* seem to
accomplish my goal: the PDF drawing is pasted into the Writer document,
but it seems to become part of the background, as I can put text *over*
it; I fail to find a way to make Writer treat it as an actual figure...
