Well, then I think the package description could be clarified a bit. I need to insert PDF vector images (e.g.: plots created with grace) as pictures into Writer documents. I found the openoffice.org-pdfimport package, whose description says: | This package contains an extension to import PDF documents into | OpenOffice.org It looked to fit my goal. However, it seems that this extension is useful only for opening PDF documents inside Draw and things like that. I failed to figure out whether I can actually insert PDF files as pictures into Writer documents. File -> Open is the most obvious thing, as long as you already know what this package is supposed to do. Unfortunately, it seems that the package description failed to help me in learning what this package is about. Of course, I have probably been somewhat dumb... but anyway, I think that clarifying a little bit further in the package description will prevent other dumb people from filing bugs like this one in the future.
