Not reproducible on my system with v2.2.0-6.
It's a relatively up-to-date GNOME Sid system.
Since it's *ooimpress* that's trying to recover when this is an ODT
file you're trying to open, it might help to "zap" your
~/.openoffice.org2 directory.
