Bug#419095: myspell-en-us installed, no dictionaries available

Thanks Rene. Tools > Options > Writing Aids shows three panes: Available
language modules, User-defined dictionaries and Options. Avaialble
language modules shows OpenOffice.org Hunspell SpellChecker and
OpenOffice.org New Thesaurus. I don't see anywhere mention of Canada or
en_US.

Format > Character does show and ABC tick next to English (USA) but not
English (Canada). If I reformat to English (USA) spellcheck works!
thanks!

Hmm, on the one hand, installing Debian in Canada sets the en_CA locale
so spellcheck will appear broken by default. So practically supporting
en_CA with myspell-en-us would make sense. On the theoretical hand,
official spellings in Canada differ from US: Colour vs. color, etc.
However I usually find it easier to just use US spellings when I
correspond...

Another wrinkle is spellcheck does work by default in Iceweasle, which I
think also uses MySpell. I don't know where they're working around my
en_CA locale and using myspell-en-us...

I reformatted to English (USA) and am happily spellchecking. Dunno what
is the optimal solution?
