Finally it appears that the problem was with my Xorg config that
included "dri" but "dri" didn't work. OOo segfaulted when reading
/dev/dri/card14. glxinfo segfaulted too. Commenting out "dri" solved
my problem. I'll get back later to solving the xorg/dri problem on my
setup.
