Bug#275025: openoffice.org: video in presentation (by mozilla-plugin-vlc): forks infinite number of [pluginapp.bin]

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.2-3
Severity: important

_rene_ asked me to check whether these "videos in presentation" bugs appear
in the upstream, so I did it folowing way:

downloaded lastest stable release 1.1.3 linux-x86 binary, and as a
normal (non-root) user I installed upstream openoffce in ~/tmp/ . I hope
this is a good way to check with upstream?

Then I ran openoffice 1.1.3 from ~/tmp/OOo/ to check all those bugs.
(I had a clean distinction between debian's openoffice and upstream
office, since they have different version numbers: 1.1.2 in sarge
versus 1.1.3 in upstream (btw I have a clean up-to-date sarge install
here on my laptop).

I have checked all those bugs and they are in the upstream too, so you
can forward bugs 274365,274368,274369,274370,274371,274411 and this one
to the upstream.

I write this here, because otherwise I would have to reply to all those
bugs, sending 6 exactly the same emails.

During this check I encountered two new bugs. First one I submit here:

okay, this one is really *serious*. When I work with a presentation that
has many pages (about 5) and many videos (at least one on each page),
and I add a video, delete, resize them, change pages (page-up,
page-down) I can note a *very* interesting thing in a nearby terminal
which runs constantly 'ps auxw' command:

the number of processes depicted: [pluginapp.bin] <defunct> is
steadily increasing. After 2 minutes there are 5 of them. After 4
minutes there are 10 of them. And so on. The only way to get rid of
process [pluginapp.bin] <defunct> is to close openoffice. I can't even
kill -9 it.

this bug (as said above) appears in the upstream 1.1.3 too.
