Hi list! Although I seem to have the Greek OpenOffice.org dictionary installed (I get the blue checkmark next to "Greek" in the available languages lists), it doesn't work. When I enter Greek text (and designated as Greek, both as the "Default language for documents", and by selecting all text and checking that Character...-> Font -> Language is Greek), the following things happen: [0] All text is marked as unknown (with no suggestions in the context menu for other Greek words) and [1] I see nothing (no words, fonts, anything) in the "Spellcheck(Greek)" window. dpkg reports the following: (truncated to <72 chars) debian:~# dpkg -l | grep openoffice ii openoffice.org 1.1.1-2 high-quality office productivity ii openoffice.org 1.1.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org 1.1.0+1.1.1rc3 Debian specific parts of ii openoffice.org 1.1.1-2 Greek language package for ii openoffice.org 1.1.1-2 English (US) language package for ii openoffice.org 1.1.1-2 English (US) Thesaurus for The Greek dictionaries are there: debian:~# ls -l /usr/share/myspell/dicts/ total 9084 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 85349 Apr 16 03:10 DicOOo.sxw lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 30 Apr 25 18:04 dictionary.lst -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 9535 Apr 26 00:32 el_GR.aff -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 4750280 Apr 26 00:32 el_GR.dic lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Apr 23 09:19 en-GB.aff -> lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Apr 23 09:19 en-GB.dic -> -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 27375 Aug 13 2003 en_GB.aff -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 526269 Aug 13 2003 en_GB.dic -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3344748 Apr 16 03:10 th_en_US.dat -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 517512 Apr 16 03:10 th_en_US.idx debian:~# ...and the dictionary.lst must be correct, since I see the checkmark next to the Greek language. Any hints as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! Alex
