The openoffice.org word processor spellcheck doesn't seem to work. When
I ask for a spellcheck, it brings up a box saying that the spellcheck is
complete, even when there are (very!) wrongly spelled words in the
document. It's not clear that it's doing anything except bring up that
dialog box. This seems to be the case for both *.doc and *.sxw
documents. Maybe it is missing a dictionary or something, but it's not
giving me any error messages to that effect.
I don't see anything in the options that could effect the spellchecker,
so I don't know how to make it work any better.

Helen Faulkner.

OK, I'm now closing this bug as there is not a problem 'spellchecker
doesn't work' - it does work, just not as you originally expected.

Your comments are now suggesting several feature changes, and it would
be better to file separate reports so they can be tracked
independently. As a user of the Debian packages, you have a right to
file them in the Debian BTS, but I'm afraid we do not have enough
manpower to deal with upstream wishlist requests in a timely manner, and
you should expect a delay of 1-2 years for your report to come to the
top of the list and be processed. Therefore I would strongly recommend
that if you would like to see your suggestions get into OOo 2.0, that
you file the upstream report yourself.

The Component for the spellchecker is 'lingucomponent'. I did a brief
search and did not see any similar open issues already.

Chris
