Bug#224670: openoffice.org: italic fonts with OOo

Dear Debian OOo maintainter,
I'd like to provide more info about this problem,
i.e., the italic fonts not displayed.
I've read through the bug report #214588.
I ran into the same problem when I upgraded OOo from
1.1.0-2 to 1.1.0-3 (on the day v1.1.0-3 pushed to the
resposity, i.e., about a week ago?), OOwriter did not
show italic fonts. I tried to report the problem but
my
reportbug facility seemed not working properly.
Anyway, just now I checked oowriter, and it did show
the italic fonts!
As I said, I read the bug report for #214588. I never
install either ttf-bitstream-vera or msttcorefonts,
not even now. I am sure OOo 1.1.0-2 did not have the
problem, and I am sure in a few days after I upgraded
OOo 1.1.0-3 did has the problem. This means the
problem seems not related to both ttf-bitstream-vera
and msttcorefonts packages.
I don't know when the problem disappeared for 1.1.0-3
but I know the package fontconf got upgrade in these
days, but not sure if this is related or not.
Just hope this info to be useful.
In addition, the bug #215719 still remains. How is the
debug process? I am sorry if I sound pushing someone
who just does a great job in his spare time and
contribute a lot to the community. I did not mean it.
It is just an annoying bug for scientific writing.
