Problem with really strange cell heights in oocalc

Hi,

I'm having some strange problems with cell heights in oocalc on one
particular machine.  For example, here's what the default blank
spreadsheet looks like:

The problem appears to be that the default cell height is 0.01".
Changing this value to something more reasonable makes the spreadsheet
look normal again.

Then there's exhibit 2.  This is an OOo spreadsheet that looks normal on
every other installation:

Once again, OOo is using some bizarre cell heights.  For example, that
first row has a cell height of 39.37".  Coincidentally (or not?), that's
exactly 100 cm.

Any idea what's going wrong with oocalc?  The other OOo applications
seem to work fine.
