     Greetings Chris and all:

I studied the referenced pdf above. I don't however see where my particular
failure stems from yet. These binaries are installed on my Woody box:
ii xfstt 1.2.1-1 TrueType Font Server for X11
ii xfs-xtt 1.3.0.xf420-4 X-TrueType font server
ii xfree86-common 4.1.0-16 X Window System (XFree86) infrastructure

fontpath: (xset -q)
 /usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled,/usr/lib/X11/font
s/75dpi/:unscaled,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo,/usr/lib/
X11/fonts/100dpi,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi

fontpath: (XF86config-4)
Section "Files"
FontPath "unix/:7100" # local font server
        # if the local font server has problems, we can fall back on these
        FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc"
        FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic"
        FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled"
        FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled"
        FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1"
        FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo"
        FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi"
        FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi"
EndSection

1. Do I need xfs-xtt if I only use this box locally?
2. The pdf mentions specific problematic paths(fonts), my path doesn't
include any of them afaick.

Appologies for my confusion over this issue.

TIA, tatah
