Greetings:

I am giving up on reportbug. Every time I try it, it fails, so I will paste
them here. Appologies in advance if I have not provided enough information.

First failure from 2002/07/09 installation:
From: "M. Jaye Inabnit" <jaye@jaye.ke6sls.ampr.org>BOGUSDOMAIN
To: Debian Bug Tracking System <submit@bugs.debian.org>
Subject: openoffice.org: (Woody) GUI textual fields appear as hyphens
X-Mailer: reportbug 1.50
Date: Wed, 10 Jul 2002 10:06:42 -0700
Bcc: "M. Jaye Inabnit" <jaye@jaye.ke6sls.ampr.org>

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.0.0-6
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Text fields like FILE, EDIT, VIEW are all hyphens. Pop-up help also
appears as yellow hyphens. If I click on one of the fields, the new
window is also blank. I have included a screen shot of the GUI at:
http://www.qsl.net/ke6sls/images/OOo_text_failure.png
so you may see for yourselves. I hope this helps.

- -- System Information

openoffice.or
ii openoffice.org-l10n-en [openo 1.0.0-4 english_us files for
openoffice.or

Current failure from 2002/07/10 dist-upgrade:
OpenOffice.org: GUI not working at all following update 2002/07/10 (Woody)
 From: "M. Jaye Inabnit" <jaye@jaye.ke6sls.ampr.org>
To: Debian Bug Tracking System <submit@bugs.debian.org>

Package: OpenOffice.org
Version: 1.0.0-pre1.0.1rc3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Following a dist-upgrade, OpenOffice.org was upgraded. Package will no
longer function at all. I did remove the home directory without
success. I am including a link to the screen shot following upgrade:
http://www.qsl.net/ke6sls/images/OOo_fail2.png

As you can see, I have a blank OpenOffice.org window, and a blank
dialogue window with a blank button.

Good luck.

I completely removed (and purged) openoffice.org and verified I had no
.openoffice/ directory, then reinstalled with same results.
