I am doing likewise, i.e. logging in with the SSL certificate generate 
from sso.debian.org and associated to my Debian account.  But the "Join" 
button does not work for me.  I tried to remove all the cookies related 
to tracker.d.o stored in my instance of Chromium and log in again, but to 
no avail.
