I prepared version 4.0.1~rc4-1 in Git [commit c286c02]. Please, upload
it to experimental. All tests passed, besides the usual failures with
audio{play,record}er.m.

Why dropping the closing of #805295? I think it is valid to close a bug from an experimental upload, thanks to version tracking.

Ok, I got it wrong and thought that it should be done via control@b.d.o. In this case, I will reintroduce the closing statement.

Ok

As we are at it, should we also do the same with #815597?

Yes I think it's ok. Since it already has the right version information, it can be closed manually without new version information (with "bts close").

Ok, done [commit bcc4ca5].
