Package: octave
Version: 4.0.0-4
Severity: minor

Hi,

when building octave from sid in a jessie chroot in order to do a
jessie-backport, octave FTBFS within configure that bison is not installed.

Would you mind adding a direct build-depends on bison to ease backports?
Since octave doesn't FTBFS on sid, i presume that bison is pulled
indirectly, so a direct build-depends wouldn't hurt either.

Regards,
Daniel

I am hereby closing this bug report. Quoting a comment from Sébastien Villemot in the pkg-octave-devel mailing list [1]:

"Actually the BTS does not know about backports, and should not be used for reporting problems with the backports. So #798427 should have not been opened in the first place (except if the problem was affecting a version in stable/testing/unstable)."

Moreover, Sébastien and I tried to build the package in jessie chroots and could not reproduce the bug.

At any rate, I hope that we will be able to upload octave 4.0.0 to jessie-backports soon.

Best,

Rafael
