I will see what is feasible to do in the context of the Debian package and will eventually fill a bug report upstream on this issue.

I committed (f037e8e) a patch that changes the test block of src/odepkg_octsolver_rodas.cc in order to show progress meters for each of its 32 tests. The excerpt of the build log is attached below.

The patch is not trivial and it may become a maintenance burden in the future. For this reason, I committed the change in the branch show-test-progress of the Git repository. This is just a "proof of concept" rather than something that we will necessarily be implemented in the package.

At any rate, please, tell me what you think.
