If I understand correctly, once the transition is complete, octave3.2
will be removed from testing. In consequence, other packages will be
broken, unless they are rebuilt before the transition.

I have forgotten that message (too much email to read :-). I already
filed a bug report against xmds regarding the transition (Bug#666501). I
maintained xmds in the past, so it was easy for me to figure out a quick
fix.
