Preparation of the transition to OCaml 4.05.0: status update
Hello,
As those who follow the Debian Ocaml Maint ML may have noticed, I am
preparing the transition to OCaml 4.05.0.
More precisely, I am rebuilding the packages followed in the OCaml
transition tracker [1] with OCaml 4.05.0+rc1 and fixing issues as they
come. A repository of rebuilt packages is available at [2]. What follows
is the current status; it may evolve quickly.
Most packages are simply a rebuild of the package in unstable.
The following packages were built with a version more recent than in
unstable: ocaml findlib camlp4 ocamlbuild labltk menhir tophide.
The following packages FTBFS: hhvm llvm-toolchain-3.7 ocamlduce polygen
scilab hol-light kalzium ocaml-deriving orpie cmigrep coccinelle otags
ppx-deriving sks mldonkey oasis ocamlbricks unison approx caml2html
coq-float frama-c mlpost pxp ben dochelp opam. Logs are available at
[2]. Bugs are open for some of them.
There are 62 packages not buildable because of missing dependencies.
The Perl 5.26 transition [3] has just started and gets in the way. I
think we'll have to wait until it finishes to start the OCaml transition.
