yes, that would make everything much easier.

You can get a *-guest account, and with that we can add you to the
pkg-ocaml-maint team. Not sure how to apply for a guest account but I am
quite certain there is some documentation on alioth.

dh-ocaml does much more than the dom-git-* tools. In particular, it provides
means to automatically calculate dependencies on ocaml packages, and that is
of course completely independent from git.
