Ralf, the correct dependencies are :

ocaml (>=3.01), ocaml (<<3.02)

as we are pretty sure that ocaml bytecode will surely not be compatible with
ocam l3.02. It will causes thing to be more smooth once ocaml 3.02 is
released. And not the current situation where you could have a 3.00 library
installed with ocaml 3.01.
