My understanding is that those once active are now active other places,
but still (at least some of them - and some of us that joined after
the "big rush" of this place) still have a heart beating for this

If I understand you correctly that you don't have specific goals or
ideas yourself here, but want to offer your assistance in whatever tasks
others might have for you.
If I am right in my understanding, I suggest you subscribe to this
mailinglist (if you are not already), and just wait...
The usual dynamic of this is that when some of us has ideas or needs
help, it is published here for others to join in on.
Hope that made sense - and that others in here agree with me.
