My top three criteria for a non-profit distro:
1. Bootable CD for demoing and error-recovery (like
Knoppix).
2. Fully Debian-compatible (apt-get straight out of the
box).
3. Easy install process (not necessarily graphical, but at
least simple and logical, like some good old-school MS-DOS
installers used to be).
The only other distro I've found that currently meets that
criteria:
