Reiner Herrmann: Advocate

Hi,

I whole heartly and very much support Reiner Herrmann <reiner@reiner-h.de>'s
request to become Debian Maintainer, immediatly.

I have worked with Reiner (deki on IRC, key 2F5DAF3FC1F793D94F3D900CA721DA055374AA4F)
on Reproducible Builds for Debian (and OpenWrt) since November 2014 and he
continues to amaze me.

Between January 3rd 2015 and June 18th 2016 he filed 264 bugs about
reproducible issues tagged "patch" (and 15 others which ended up in my inbox.
I suppose there were more.)

And, not to omit: some of these patches required amazing analysis of the
problems! (And they covered a quite wide range of langugaes and build systems…)

Then he's a co-mentor for Debian Reproducible builds this year, mostly helping
the students which are working on reprotest and diffoscope.

Speaking of diffoscope: Reiner is now also one of the (upstream) maintainers
of it…

I've also sponsored the firejail and firetools packages he maintains and found
them in excellent shape.

His dedication to Debian and to details can also be seen in the 10 QA uploads
he did.

Last but not least, he's a pleasure to work with: friendly, exact & reliable,
to use just 3 words :) Both online and offline.

I also think he is ready to become a Debian Developer already and if I'm not
mistaken he only applied to become a DM now, because I told him that's the
usual way nowadays, "be a DM for 3-6 months and then apply for DD" and so
that's what he did. I would definitly support and applaud him becoming a
DD _now_ without the DM step inbetween!

So I know Reiner Herrmann can be trusted to have upload rights for his own
packages, right now.

Thanks a lot for all your work & have a lot of fun, Reiner!

cheers,
	Holger
