Hi, I first approached Russel in April 2012 and have been working with him on libgit2 ever since. Over the years, he has clearly demonstrated motivation and ability to help Debian. He is always eager to fix any issues with his packages, and easily picks up skills/techniques necessary for maintaining high-quality packages.
