I support his application to become a Debian maintainer. I have known Jakob for many years, and he has used Debian since even before that. During these years, he has often demonstrated that he knows many Debian specifics and single-handledly creates high-quality Debian packages. Jakob is not afraid to ask others for help and is a quick learner. Last but not least, he is respectful in handling bug reports and other Debian-related communication. I sponsored his uploads of minitube, glabels and blogofile and am convinced that Jakob will be a great contributor. -- Best regards, Michael
