2. Background
- -------------
   Applicant writes:

My name is Willi Mann. I was born in 1985 in Austria. I received a
Master degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in Computer Science in 2010.

I started my Linux experience in 2002, when I was searching for a
reliable Server OS, that would work on a broad range of hardware. I
chose RedHat at that time, but got unhappy about their development model
soon, which was not very open for user participation. A particular
symptom of this development model was the very limited set of software
    packages included in the distribution.

So I was searching for alternatives, and got soon attracted by the
Debian development model. I was impressed by the stability of my Debian
installations, even when I was mixing stable and unstable packages.

After some time I decided it was time to give something back to the
community. So I got involved with packaging software, helping out with
bug reports, and I practically took over upstream duties for one of my
    packages.

3. Philosophy and Procedures
- -----------------------------
Willi has a good understanding of Debian's philosophy and procedures
and answered all my questions about the social contract,
DFSG, BTS, etc. in a good way. he committed to uphold the SC and DFSG
in his Debian work and accepts the DMUP.

4. Tasks and Skills
- -------------------
Willi has a good understanding of the technical side of Debian.
He is maintainer of various packages which are all in a good shape.
He also answered my other questions regarding T&S without problems
and provided patches for RC bugs.

5. Recommendation
- -----------------
I recommend to accept Willi Mann as a Debian Developer.
