Although I have not worked directly with Hans on packaging, I have talked with him about packaging issues during bug squashing parties and workshops, and he has demonstrated clear knowledge of the subject. However, I think his packages speak for themselves and those he has worked with have already spoken about his skills here. I would be happy to advocate Hans to become a Debian Maintainer. micah
