Re: Debian Maintainer application

To all,

Eugen Dedu has the support of the Opal/PTLib team and is an active and valuable member of our community. We agree that his inclusion as Debian Maintainer would allow him to continue his excellent work on behalf of the Ekiga, Opal and Debian communities

I believe that Eugen Dedu has the technical skills needed to maintain Debian
packages. I support his application to become a Debian maintainer, because
he has been working very well with the pkg-voip team in alioth and has single
handily brought the Debian packages of opal, ptlib & ekiga back from a state
of neglect to a high quality; addressing both packaging bugs and upstream issues.

Eugen is regarded highly that he has already been included in the Maintainer:
field for these packages:

His inclusion as a Debian Maintainer will enable these packages to be maintained
in a more timely manner.

Hi,

This is my declaration of intent to become a Debian Maintainer,
http://wiki.debian.org/Maintainers.

I have read the Social Contract, Debian Free Software Guidelines and
Debian Machine Usage Policy and agree with all of them.

Currently, I co-maintain ptlib, opal and ekiga packages. I have
followed the Debian community for a long time and have been using Debian
for 10 years.

My GnuPG key E47B79A4 is signed by the Debian Developer Simon Paillard.
I look forward to becoming a Debian Maintainer. Thanks for your attention.
